In it’s 30th year, the 2010 New Bern and greater Craven County MUMFest stands poised to be even bigger and brighter this year, with even more festival activities, family fun, and great entertainment to dazzle even veteran attendees of this amazing festival.

Hatteras Yachts consolidates operations in Craven County!

On July 20, 2010, Hatteras Yachts released an official press release outlining their decision to consolidate operations of their Hatteras Yachts and CABO Yacht brands at their New Bern ( Craven County ) NC facilities. Noted in the announcement, this move will produce more than 350+ NEW jobs to Craven County.

Personally, I would like to thank James R. Meyer, who is the President of Hatteras Yachts, for this decision as it is a huge boost to New Bern’s economy. Additionally, I think all New Bern and greater Craven County residents and government officials should applaud Hatteras Yachts by showing them that they have our deepest gratitude and support.

Few can argue that Social Media and Social Networking is an excellent resource to engage new people, build relationships, interact with others, and learn new things. As a Real Estate Agent in New Bern, Havelock, and Pamlico County, I use social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN, and Youtube daily to meet new folks and build new relationships with people all over the world.

Additionally, this allows me to build a professional network with others globally in a mutual fashion, and hopefully bring to light many of the great aspects of living and doing business in Craven and Pamlico County.

As a Real Estate Agent, I strongly believe that our social media engagement gives me an advantage professionally because it allows me to reach far more people outside New Bern and Havelock who may be interested in Real Estate locally.

Foreclosures are not over running our local real estate market here in New Bern NC but they are popping up even more these days. In fact there is one in my neighborhood that would be a great buy for someone.

This house has about 1 acre of usable flat land, a swimming pool that is in ground, 3/4 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, open bonus room, 2 car garage and more.

Epiphany School holds their “Feast of Epiphany”

At 2 pm today our private school, The Epiphany celebrated a christian tradition called The Feast of Epiphany. We had candles, prayer and the 3 wise men followed by a fantastic feast of roast beef, fruit, cheese/crackers and cake.

A cool tradition is for each advisory group(1 teacher and about 12 students) to share a cake and with in that cake there is a gold coin. Who ever finds the coin gets to keep it.
