Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow, said all of the school children in New Bern Nc Today!!

At 8 am this morning the snow started to come down. I turned on the t.v to find out that Craven County in which  New Bern and Havelock are apart of, decided to cancel school today. At first I thought that they were crazy but at about 10am began to see why they did so.

At 3pm the clouds opened up further and we really say the snow on the ground. Pictures to follow later.

We all know that football can be a dangerous unpredictable sport and so it proved true this past week.

During the Jr. Varsity game a dear friend of our family, received a crushing blow to his right leg and broke it.

After 2 surgeries and 4 hospital days,  he is finally home and in good spirits.

Good news is New Bern did win this game by a landslide.

The next day at New Bern High School,  the varsity took the field and did exact a little pay back on DH Conley.

For years, this great festival in downtown New Bern NC comes alive once again October 11-12th.

Bands, clowns, dancers and more crowd the stages both Saturday and Sunday throughout East Front St,

Well Boys, I spoke too soon. The Epiphany boys  soccer team wins their game 2 goals to nothing today.

Jake and Matt lead the team in a swift offensive move to score in the first few minutes of the

1st half. The defense held their own with Derrick, Eddie and the rest of the Falcon’s keeping their

opponents away from the goalie. Our two goalies dove their way into the 0 goals scored upon them.

Yes there is a large quantity of homes in this price range but why?

1. Builders keep building in this range because it is affordable to a larger percentage of people that need a larger home but have now over built.

2. Resale homes have been over priced and are sitting on the market.

3. People have to sell their homes in other places first before buying one here and are unable to do so.

4. Homes that were under $200,000 are now over this mark because of inflated lot prices that developers have been charging.
