On July 20, 2010, Hatteras Yachts released an official press release outlining their decision to consolidate operations of their Hatteras Yachts and CABO Yacht brands at their New Bern ( Craven County ) NC facilities. Noted in the announcement, this move will produce more than 350+ NEW jobs to Craven County.
Personally, I would like to thank James R. Meyer, who is the President of Hatteras Yachts, for this decision as it is a huge boost to New Bern’s economy. Additionally, I think all New Bern and greater Craven County residents and government officials should applaud Hatteras Yachts by showing them that they have our deepest gratitude and support. When you are looking for private schools in New Bern NC look no further. The Epiphany is the best private school we have in New Bern.
I like this school because it invites people of all faiths. It provides a safe environment for our students to learn and play. I never have to worry about what is happening to my children during the day. I know they are receiving a great education and are surrounded by teachers and educators that really care about their students.

Shake off those negative vibes, turn off that terrible news station and head off to New Bern’s only Gold’s Gym. Located at 3340 Martin Luther King Blvd between Target and the Twin Rivers Mall, Gold’s is easy to access.
I started going to the gym before there ever was a gym there. Before they constructed Gold’s Gym, the company had a trailer set outside of it so that they could start to sell memberships. All these years later, their membership is growing strong.

People ask me not only why I blog but why I blog about New Bern!
All you need to do is look at this picture to see how beautiful this area truly is. It is only March and you can see flowers and trees blooming everywhere. The temperature today was in the 50’s, which is typical for this time of year. On the other hand, temperatures reached in the 70’s for a few days last week. We have mostly mild winters but did get a few Artic blasts resulting in snow last month. Besides mild temperatures, New Bern is a great place to raise a family, I am speaking personally now. I have never lived in one area for as long as I have here in NC. I never have felt that I was in danger at any point, that there was way too much traffic, or that there were just too many people in general. Come see why I blog about New Bern almost every day.
I took this picture today while on a break from class at the New Bern Convention Center. It is such a nice place to hold any kind of function. It is located on South Front Street.

Over this past weekend, I saw clowns, bands, floats and Lighted boats all in one day!
On Saturday, the New Bern Parade started at 4pm. It began on the upper end of Broad street, ran down the middle of Craven
Street and ended at the Sheraton Hotel.

The Flotilla began at dark at Union Point Park. The Marine Corp brought their best to begin it all.
