This past weekend I spent sometime in Chapel Hill, NC, which is where I went to college.  While relaxing in the Carolina Inn, an awesome place to stay I might add,  a newspaper cover story caught my eye. The title of the cover read “The American (Bad) Dream, How we got in the foreclosure mess- and how we can get out”

OK media people enough is enough!

This story seen in the Independent Weekly is a prime example of what is wrong with the Real Estate market. Why can no one in the media report on how a few bad

lenders, a part of the subprime market, gave all of the lenders a bad name.   

New Bern and Havelock, markets in which I practice Real Estate, have not seen this level of malpractice and deceptive practices. Our lenders on the whole seem to have placed people in the homes that they can really afford.      

It seems that some people in the media are now trying to report on ways to help but do not realize that what would help is some positive influence from them, a heart felt story of people trying to help other people. 

How about how a Real Estate Agent worked with a Lender to prevent a good man from losing his home to the foreclosure process!

Hey you, yes I mean you. Do you ever feel like your tangled in an SEO web?

Everyone these days are talking about what to do and not to do when it comes to the Internet ranking of your site.

 I have read so many articles on this subject that my eyes are about to pop out of my head. Everybody has advise.

For example, when did it become a fad to miss spell words in order to get traffic directed to your site?

Before you could use links to optimise your site,I think you still can but be careful, there are some major penalties for this if you link too much and the link is not relevant to the content that you are writting about.  

As a Real Estate agent, I have to say hats off to the people that SEO for a living. Give me a Buyer or Seller any day over a messy confusing system that they have to deal with on an hourly basis. 

By the way, any good ideas on how to hire these people?  

 If you drive about 8 Miles from the Target in New Bern down Hwy 70 East , you will find the Taberna Community. 

With over 300 homes, Taberna boasts a Club House, 18 hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and is bordered by Brices Creek.  

Taberna’s home prices start in the 200’s for the Patio homes and exceed 700,000 for the Excutive homes. There are currently 47 homes on the market.  

I was driving past the Foodlion in “James City” as called by all of the locals in New Bern, today and had to stop in to see how all of the changes were going. 

There was a lot of mess, very small Isles, and the Deli was closed.

I hope they get done soon, I miss not running my cart into people to get a can of tuna!
