The Top 5 Kids Activities When Relocating To New Bern

Before I decided to move to New Bern 14 years ago, I wanted to know what there was to do for kids. When I went online, I could not find a whole lot of information on New Bern but boy have we grown. Here are the tops seven things kids can do in New Bern.
1. The YMCA just off of Park Ave., offers several opportunities for kids to be involved in sports. They have basketball, soccer, swim and gymnastic teams. During the summer they offer 2 camps, a sports camp and a regular activities camp.

2. The Strike Zone is a great place to bowl and play laser tag, the only place I know to do so!
3. The Swing Zone is the place to be if you want to play putt putt, video games, paint ball or challenge yourself in the batting cages.

On July 30th 2008, The President of The United States signed a bill that will help our housing economy get back on it’s feet, or will it?
This new bill HR 3221 called Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, will provide tax breaks for the first time home buyer.
The first time home buyer will receive a tax credit equal to 10% of the purchase price of their home up to $7,500 but this is temporary and will need to be repaid.
This credit is also tied to ones adjustable Gross Income and there is a time limit in which to buy your home.

1. Builders keep building in this range because it is affordable to a larger percentage of people that need a larger home but have now over built.
